The AKC wants us to keep track of all "events" that our Icelandics participate in. Those events can be AKC events or not.

When people get together with their Icies for an informal gathering, that's an "event". We have several of those all over the
country every year.

When people show their dog(s) in Conformation at an ARBA (American Rare Breed Association) show or a FORB (Federation
Of Rare Breeds) show, those are events. If you show your dog at a UKC event, that counts.

When folks take their ISDs to a "Meet the Breed" show to introduce Icelandics to other people, that's an event also.

Because we are now showing Icies in flyball and agility, I would like to add those "events" to our records. We have not done
that before. I am not going to go back and try to reconstruct what has happened already. Our records have already been sent
to the AKC. Moving forward, however, I would like to include all current and future participation in those additional areas.

If your dog enters an agility event, please let me know - same with flyball. Give me the same information (below) and I will see
that you and your dog(s) are included in our show records. (I have mentioned before that I want all "Titles" that our dogs earn
enshrined in BreedMate. Please let me know when any dog earns any title regardless of the organization. Tell me the title (using
the right initials), what those initials mean, and the name of the organization that awarded the title and you and your dog will
enter our record "book".

Our records of all the many events we have participated in over the years helped us win the approval of the AKC to enter
Performance or Companion events next July 2006.

We need to continue to record our participation in all areas for the time when we petition the AKC for permission to enter
Conformation shows, the final step in full AKC acceptance.

If you appear with your dog(s) at a Meet the Breed event, a rare breed dog show, a gathering of other Icelandic owners, or
one of the many participatory activities,  please let me know so I can keep those records up to date.

I will need the following information:
1. the name of the event and the sponsoring organization (informal gatherings are "sponsored" [encouraged] by the ISAA)
2. the location of the gathering, event, competition
3. the date of the gathering, event, competition
4. the names of the human participants
5. the names, preferably official names, of the canine participants

Your help over the years has made our phenomenal success possible. We are far ahead of other breeds that have been trying
for acceptance longer than we have been trying because of the help and participation of you guys. Thanks from the bottom of
my heart!! You guys are great.
