The ISAA Board of Directors is pleased to announce the formation of The ISAA Breeding Review and
Compliance Committee (BRCC). This action was taken in response to the departure of Knox Rhine and the
need to disperse duties as the club continues to grow and prosper. These jobs are simply too much for one
person to do and we wish to provide good stewardship of our volunteer resources as they are a tremendous
gift to the club. Please join me in thanking the members of the BRCC for stepping up to the task so that our
service to breeders and members will be uninterrupted.
The new process is simple. Basically, it is one stop shopping. The breeder will use a form similar to the one
that has been utilized on the "Application" page found in Breeder's Corner in the ISAA website for some time.
All you will need to do to start the process is go to that form (http://www.icelanddogs.com/Listing-
Application.html), enter your information and hit send. That will tell us there is work to be done and we will
respond to you within two business days.
You will find the BRCC Goals attached. If, while reading these goals, you decide you would like to assist the
BRCC in attaining these goals, please let me know. We welcome volunteerism and our club depends on it as
we are an all volunteer organization.
You will find the step-by-step process for listing a litter and other related information below.
The website is being worked on at this moment as we attempt to update all relevant documentation and
information. We ask for your patience during that process.
Beginning immediately:
Please send all photographs related to your litter, "update photos" or information that needs to be amended on
your breeder page directly to isaabrcc@gmail.com
Please send litter application fees to Judi Vittetoe (ISAA Treasurer). Judi's mailing address is on the
attachment entitled Terms and Conditions.
We would also like to announce that the BRCC is offering a service to breeders who are considering potential
matches. You can request an analysis of your bitch and dog's pedigrees regarding known, published data.
The data provided may include hips, eye health and other related information. The analysis can take up to
two weeks to complete, so please allow sufficient time if your bitch is coming into heat.
If we can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. We welcome your feedback and look
forward to hearing from you as we all work together to preserve our beloved, healthy Icelandic Sheepdog.
Best regards,
Maggý Pease,
BRCC Chair
